Ethics work

Ethics

Responsible AI starts with the decisions we make

AI changes what we can build and how quickly we can build it. It also asks more of our judgement.

What is useful? Whose needs are represented? Where should people retain control? What happens when the system gets something wrong?

My work brings those questions into product strategy, research, design and delivery.

AI experience design

Exploring where AI can help, how people interact with it, and how transparency, correction and human support become part of the experience.

Responsible design practice

Helping teams discuss assumptions, recognise potential harms and turn ethical intentions into practical design decisions.

Teams and ways of working

Connecting design with product, engineering, data and business stakeholders to establish shared expectations for AI-assisted work.

Futures and experimentation

Using scenarios and prototypes to explore consequences early, challenge assumptions and make alternative approaches tangible.

A practice built over time

My design ethics research began in 2018 through my Master of Design Futures and Design Ethics Australia. Today, that work continues through safer.design.
